Ben Pimlott Biography

Ben Pimlott was born in Britain on 4 July 1945. His full name is Benjamin John Pimlott. He was studying at the Rokeby Preparatory School in London.  Then he attended to Marlborough and Worcester College and graduated Oxford university. There he studied: Philosophy, Politics and Economics.  

Ben Pimlott started working  as a lecturer in the politics department of the Newcastle University in 1970. In 1974 he was the participant of elections, but he was not being elected. After these unsuccessful elections he started working as the lecture at Birkbeck College in 1981.One year he was working as  political editor of the magazine and a little later in 1988 he got the post of professor of Contemporary History at Birkbeck in 1988. Ben Pimlott’s notable works are Live of Hugh Dalton and  the study of Queen Elizabeth II. He has written many other books: Governing London, The Trade Unions In British Politics and so on.

Ben Pimlott died on 10 April, 2004.
