George Grossmith Jr., English actor was born in Havestock Hill, London on May 11, 1874. His parents were George Grossmith Sr. and Emeline Rosa Noyce. George was the third George Grossmith after his father and grandfather, so he was named George Grossmith Junior. He had a younger brother Lawrence, who was an actor too. Georrge Grossmith Sr. was great actor. George Jr. was known for ‘’speaking’’ songs.
George was studying at University College School in London.
In 1895, George Grossmith Jr. married to Gertrude Elizabeth Rudge, musical comedy actress. She was also known as Adelaide Astor, her stage name. George and his wife had three children Grossmith and his wife had three children: Ena Sylvia Victoria-was born in 1896, was the actress, she died in 1944. George – was born in 1906, was theatrical manager, died in 2000, Rosa Mary – was born in 1907, had three sons, one of them was John.C.G. George, she died in 1988.
