Red Barber, American celebrity was born in Columbus, Mississippi, on February 17, 1908.He was a close relative of Sidney Lanier, a poet and Thomas Lanier Williams, a writer. In 1918 the family moved to Florida. Red Barber got higher education at the University of Florida. During his first studying year in the university, he was working on some positions, for example: he was a janitor at the club of the university.
