Lee Herbert Hamilton, American politician was born in Florida on April 20, 1931. Lee Hamilton was studying at the DePauw University, that he graduated in 1952. After graduating Bloomington, the Indiana University School of Law in 1956 he was working as a lawyer in Indiana during next ten years.
He joined the Democratic political party and as the member of it, he represented the ninth congressional district of Indiana during 34 years (from 1965 to 1999). Lee Hamilton was a former member of the US House of Representatives, Currently he is a member of the United States Homeland Security Advisory Council. He also served as the vice chairman of the 9/11 Commission. He serves as a co-chair of the National Security Preparedness Group, Bipartisan Policy center and he is the member of Partnership for a Secure America.
Lee Hamilton was married to Nancy Hamilton. She was an actress. Mrs. Nancy Hamilton died in an auto accident in 2012.
